WASHINGTON, D.C. — Small business owners nationwide will have access to free training, federal resources, and networking opportunities during a two-day virtual summit scheduled for May as part of National Small Business Week.

The U.S. Small Business Administration, or SBA—a federal agency that supports small businesses with funding, counseling, and contracting opportunities—is partnering with America’s Small Business Development Center network to host the 2026 National Small Business Week Virtual Summit.
The event will run May 5 and 6 and is open to participants nationwide at no cost.
What the Summit Includes
The virtual summit will feature educational workshops, access to federal resources, and opportunities for mentorship and networking.
Topics will include manufacturing, digital marketing, human resources—commonly referred to as HR, which covers hiring, employee management, and workplace policies—as well as artificial intelligence, business planning, and online business tools.
Officials said the sessions are designed to provide practical guidance for small business owners at various stages, from startup to expansion.
National Small Business Week Events
The virtual summit is part of a broader National Small Business Week program. An in-person National Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, in Washington, D.C.
SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler is also expected to travel to multiple states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, and Georgia, to highlight small businesses identified as job creators.
