Enigma Networks Launches Internal Trust Governance Platform

Business News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Enigma Networks announced the general availability of its Internal Trust Governance platform, Enigma AI, which is designed to monitor and validate communications between systems within enterprise networks.

The company said the platform evaluates whether internal communications between network assets are necessary and appropriate as part of a broader Zero Trust cybersecurity strategy.

Enigma AI is intended to address risks associated with internal network traffic, which security experts say can allow attackers to move within systems after gaining initial access.

“After decades perfecting identity governance for users, internal networks continue to operate largely on blind trust,” said Bob Moul, co-founder and chief executive officer of Enigma Networks.

Moul said the platform applies governance principles similar to identity and access management systems, which organizations use to control user access to applications and data.

The platform creates a model of an organization’s internal network to analyze communication patterns between systems and determine whether those interactions align with each system’s intended function, according to the company.

Enigma AI operates using an agentless architecture and integrates with existing security tools to enforce policies and provide alerts.

“I spent years watching security teams drowning in network telemetry but starving for actual insight,” said Mark Viglione, co-founder and chief technology officer of Enigma Networks. “Tools would generate endless logs and alerts, but couldn’t answer the fundamental question: which internal communications should we trust?”

Enigma Networks said organizations in sectors including manufacturing, financial services and healthcare are deploying the platform as part of their cybersecurity infrastructure.

The company said the tool is designed to complement identity governance systems, secure access platforms and endpoint protection tools within Zero Trust security frameworks.

Enigma Networks develops cybersecurity platforms focused on governing internal network communications across information technology, operational technology, internet-connected devices and cloud systems.
