PHILADELPHIA, PA — A new study by TENA evaluated menopause care access across the United States, identifying New Hampshire, Vermont, and Minnesota among the top-performing states based on healthcare access, insurance coverage, and patient preparedness.

The analysis examined 10 indicators, including availability of women’s healthcare providers, clinic access, insurance coverage, affordability, and public awareness.

New Hampshire ranked highly with 64.9 women’s healthcare providers per 100,000 residents and 96.22% of women insured, while 71.55% reported feeling prepared for menopause.

Vermont showed strong provider availability, with 67.1 providers and 15.6 women’s health clinics per 100,000 residents, along with 97.52% insurance coverage and 71% of women reporting preparedness.

Minnesota ranked strongly on affordability and support, with 6.4% of adults reporting inability to access care due to cost, 96.52% insurance coverage among women, and 70.87% reporting preparedness. The state also has 12 active women-focused nonprofit organizations.

Hazel Villarreal, marketing director for TENA North America, said the findings highlight how access to care and resources can shape women’s experiences. “This research is intended to provide a clearer picture of how menopause support looks across the United States today and hopes to contribute to more informed conversations,” Villarreal said.
