LifeScan, i-SENS Partner to Launch OneTouch Vita CGM

LifeScan

MALVERN, PA — LifeScan announced a partnership with biosensor company i-SENS to launch a continuous glucose monitoring system under the OneTouch Vita brand, with an initial rollout planned in several European countries by early 2027.

The companies said they expect to introduce the CGM products in Germany, Ireland, Portugal and Belgium, with plans to expand into additional markets over time.

LifeScan, which has focused on blood glucose monitoring for more than 40 years, said the agreement marks its entry into the continuous glucose monitoring segment. The company said there will be no changes to the rest of the OneTouch portfolio as a result of the partnership.

Under the agreement, LifeScan will combine its OneTouch brand and distribution network with i-SENS’ technology and manufacturing capabilities, according to the companies.

James Rushing, chief financial officer in the Office of the CEO at LifeScan, said adding CGM represents “a significant milestone in the Company’s evolution.” He said the partnership will allow the company to bring a CGM product to market under the OneTouch Vita brand while meeting customer expectations for quality and reliability.

Michael Hooks, executive chairman in the Office of the CEO, said launching a CGM product line “has been a long-term goal for LifeScan” and that the partnership enables the company to expand its offerings with a technology partner.

Continuous glucose monitoring systems track glucose levels in real time and are commonly used by people with diabetes to help manage blood sugar levels.
