DOWNINGTOWN, PAHankin Group has begun construction on the next phase of River Station, a growing mixed-use residential community in the heart of Downingtown. Phase II will add 160 upscale, sustainably built apartments across two new buildings, expanding the 70-acre development and reinforcing its reputation as one of Chester County’s most sought-after residential destinations.

The first building, featuring 67 apartment homes, is set to open in summer 2026. The second, with 93 additional units, is expected to be completed later that year. Designed to meet LEED Gold certification standards, both buildings will emphasize energy efficiency and sustainable construction.

“The enthusiastic response to River Station’s initial phase shows how much local residents value quality living experiences,” said Michael Hankin, COO of Hankin Group and President of Hankin Apartments. “River Station is distinguished by its luxury residences, outstanding amenities, and a true sense of community in Chester County’s historic Downingtown.”

Additional touches include frameless glass shower doors, oversized closets, and private patios or balconies. Residents will also have access to EV charging stations, bike storage, outdoor grilling areas, and community lounges.

River Station’s amenities are designed to promote both recreation and connection, featuring a clubhouse with a coffee bar, fitness center, multi-sport golf simulator, demonstration kitchen, business center, co-working spaces, and a resort-style pool. The community’s location provides direct access to the county trail system, Johnsontown Park, and the Downingtown Train Station.
