UGI Sells Central European LPG Units in €48M Deal to Sharpen Focus

UGI International

VALLEY FORGE, PA — UGI International, LLC, a subsidiary of UGI Corporation (NYSE: UGI), said it has agreed to sell its liquefied petroleum gas distribution businesses in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia to DCC plc for an enterprise value of about €48 million, marking a major step in reshaping its international portfolio.

UGI International said the divestiture substantially completes its previously announced portfolio optimization program, allowing the company to concentrate on markets where it believes it has the strongest competitive positions and growth prospects.

“This divestiture substantially completes UGI International’s previously announced portfolio optimization program, allowing us to sharpen our focus on the segments where we have the strongest competitive positions and growth opportunities,” said Julie Fazio, president of UGI International. “By concentrating on markets where we have scale, established supply infrastructure and strong customer relationships, we are positioning UGI International for sustainable value creation.”

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

UGI International said net proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce debt at its parent, UGI Corporation, as the company works to strengthen its balance sheet and increase financial flexibility for future investments.

The sale reflects a broader trend among global energy distributors to streamline operations and exit smaller or less strategic markets amid shifting energy demand, tighter capital conditions, and an increased focus on returns and balance-sheet discipline.
