TELA Bio Appoints Healthcare Leader Betty Jo Rocchio to Board of Directors

MALVERN, PATELA Bio, Inc. (NASDAQ: TELA) announced the appointment of Betty Jo Rocchio, DNP, RN, CRNA, CENP, EBP-C, to its Board of Directors, succeeding Lisa Colleran, who stepped down after five years of service.

Dr. Rocchio, a nationally recognized healthcare executive and one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Advocate Health. She oversees a team of more than 42,000 nurses and leads systemwide nursing strategy across six states. Her career has focused on integrating clinical excellence with operational and supply-chain innovation in major U.S. health systems.

Antony Koblish, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of TELA Bio, said Rocchio’s appointment strengthens the company’s alignment with healthcare providers and purchasing organizations. “Her deep expertise in the group purchasing organization space and her proven ability to align clinical priorities with supply-chain strategy will be critical as we continue to drive value for our customers and shareholders,” he said.

Colleran, CEO of IC Surgical and former CEO of LifeCell Corporation, provided key commercial and strategic guidance during her tenure. “Her insights, perspective, and commitment have been instrumental as we advanced our strategy, expanded our portfolio, and grew our commercial footprint,” Koblish said.
