WAYNE, PA — Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) has appointed Seraina Macia to its board of directors, the company announced.
Macia brings more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, including senior leadership roles in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
She currently serves as a senior advisor to Warburg Pincus’s Financial Services Group, focusing on the property and casualty insurance sector. She previously was founder and chief executive officer of Joyn Insurance and held executive roles at AIG, including executive vice president and CEO of Blackboard Insurance, and CEO of AIG Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Earlier in her career, Macia served as CEO of XL North America and held positions at Zurich Insurance and Swiss Re.
“We are delighted to welcome Seraina to the Radian Board of Directors,” Non-Executive Board Chairman Howard B. Culang said in a statement.
Chief Executive Officer Rick Thornberry said Macia’s background in insurance and technology will provide strategic perspective to the board.
The company also said Gregory Serio, who has served on Radian’s board since 2012, intends to retire at the end of his term in May 2026.
