Ecovyst

MALVERN, PA — Ecovyst Inc. (NYSE: ECVT) has announced the start of a strategic review process for its Advanced Materials & Catalysts (AM&C) business. The evaluation is part of the company’s efforts to enhance shareholder value and determine the best path forward for the division.

The AM&C business consists of two core segments. The Advanced Silicas unit is a global leader in silica-based materials used in the production of polyethylene, biocatalysts, and functional chemicals. Zeolyst International, a joint venture with Shell, produces zeolite-based materials critical for distillate fuels and sustainable options such as renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels.

The review aims to explore ways to maximize the value of AM&C for Ecovyst and its shareholders. The process is expected to conclude by mid-2025, though there is no guarantee of a transaction or other outcome. The company has stated it will not provide further updates on the review unless necessary or deemed beneficial to stakeholders.
