NOTTINGHAM, PA — Herr Foods Inc. has officially kicked off the fourth annual Flavored by Philly competition, introducing an exciting twist for 2025. Dubbed the Flavored by Philly: Crunch Off, this year’s contest invites snack lovers to vote for their favorite past champion flavor, with the winner earning a permanent spot in Herr’s product lineup.
To celebrate the start of this highly anticipated event, Herr’s has teamed up with Philadelphia Phillies star slugger Kyle Schwarber. A devoted Herr’s fan, Schwarber is encouraging the tri-state community to grab a bag of each competing flavor and cast their votes.
“As a big fan of Herr’s and all their flavorful chips, I’m excited to partner with the official chip of the Phillies for this year’s Flavored by Philly: Crunch Off,” said Schwarber. “This competition is going to be fierce with such bold flavors, and I can’t wait to see which one earns a permanent spot. The Flavored by Philly: Crunch Off reflects Herr’s commitment to celebrating Philadelphia’s rich culinary traditions, featuring three bold flavors that highlight local favorites. - Long Hots & Sharp Provolone – Inspired by a local submission, this chip combines the heat of roasted peppers with sharp provolone undertones and a mild, lingering spice.
- Tomato Pie – A nod to Corropolese Bakery’s famed dish, this chip embodies sweet tomato sauce and Romano cheese flavors paired with Herr’s signature crunch.
- Special Hot Stromboli – Capturing the essence of Romano’s iconic stromboli, this chip delivers a savory blend of cheese and spices with just the right kick of heat.

Voting is open to the public, and snack enthusiasts can make their choice for their favorite flavor. The winner will be announced, securing a permanent place in Herr’s product lineup and solidifying its status as a Philadelphia classic.
Fans can vote for their favorite flavor starting at 9:00 AM EST on June 9 at herrsflavoredbyphilly.com. Voting ends on August 4, and the winning flavor will be announced by August 31. Participants not only help choose Herr’s next permanent flavor but are also entered to win one of eight prizes, including a Herr’s gift basket and a $100 gift card.
