Vishay’s SL2220007 Thermistor Secures UL Certification for Power Safety

MALVERN, PAVishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced that its Vishay Ametherm SL2220007 bigAMP inrush current limiting negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor has earned UL certification, confirming compliance with rigorous safety and performance standards.

The certification, issued by UL Solutions under File E209153, Volume 1, strengthens customer confidence in the SL2220007’s reliability for demanding power applications.

Engineered for switching power supplies, AC motors, UPS systems, industrial inverters, and variable frequency drives, the SL2220007 is designed to protect circuits from damaging inrush currents during startup. It delivers a steady-state current of 7 A, manages up to 125 J of energy, and withstands 265 VRMS of voltage, while maintaining low power loss and long-term performance.
