MALVERN, PA — Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced it has introduced a new series of AEC-Q200 qualified thick film chip resistors designed for automotive, industrial and telecommunications applications in sulfur-containing environments.
The RCA-SR e3 series combines sulfur resistance and long-term stability in five compact case sizes, the company said in a release.
Vishay said the resistors meet sulfur withstand requirements under ASTM B809-25, with a maximum resistance drift of 1% after 1,000 hours at 60 degrees Celsius. The company said the devices also demonstrate resistance stability of 1% or less after 1,000 hours of rated power at 70 degrees Celsius.
The series is available in 0201, 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 case sizes. Power ratings reach up to 0.25 watts, with operating voltages ranging from 30 volts to 200 volts.
The devices offer resistance values from 10 ohms to 10 megaohms, with tolerances of plus or minus 1% and plus or minus 5%, and temperature coefficients of resistance of plus or minus 100 ppm/K and plus or minus 200 ppm/K.
Vishay said the resistors are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free and include a protective coating designed for electrical and environmental durability. The devices are compatible with wave, reflow and vapor phase soldering and can be used with both lead-free and lead-containing soldering processes.
Vishay Intertechnology is headquartered in Malvern and manufactures discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.
