BERWYN, PA — Planet Fitness (NYSE: PLNT) has opened a new club in Berwyn, offering residents a low-cost entry point to kick off 2026 fitness goals while pairing the launch with a community donation.
The club, operated by National Fitness Partners, is located at 270 Swedesford Road and is rolling out introductory pricing that allows new members to join for $1 down and $15 per month for a PF Classic Card, or $1 down and $24.99 per month for a PF Black Card. The promotional rates are available through February 16, 2026.
To mark the opening, Planet Fitness Berwyn announced a $1,000 donation to Philabundance, a regional food bank that serves communities across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
The facility will operate extended hours, opening at 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday and closing at 11 p.m. Hours shift to 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, with weekend hours set from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Inside, the club features a broad mix of strength and cardio equipment, including free weights, expansive strength machines, plate-loaded bench presses, hack squats, a seated calf machine, and more than 35 pieces of cardio equipment. Members also have access to free fitness training with certified trainers, a functional training room, a dedicated high-intensity interval training area with air bikes and rowers, and designated mobility and stretching space.
PF Black Card members receive additional amenities, including access to the Black Card Spa with HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, and salon-grade hybrid tanning beds. The premium membership also allows members to bring a guest at no additional charge and provides access to more than 2,800 Planet Fitness locations nationwide.
Brad Wentzel, senior vice president of operations at National Fitness Partners, said the Berwyn club is designed to make fitness approachable for people at all experience levels, emphasizing a welcoming environment that encourages consistent, healthy habits.
All Planet Fitness memberships include free in-club fitness training and access to the Planet Fitness mobile app, which offers hundreds of on-demand digital workouts to complement gym visits.
With its combination of extended hours, modern amenities, and aggressive pricing, the new Berwyn location adds to Planet Fitness’ growing footprint in the region while positioning itself as an accessible option in a competitive fitness market.
