WAYNE, PA — Inverness Graham announced it has acquired Axcel Learning, an online professional education and certification platform, as part of its strategy to expand in the professional training sector.
Axcel, founded in 2021, provides certification-focused education through five online learning brands and serves industries where credentials are required for employment and advancement.
The company has served more than 2 million professionals and offers more than 11,000 hours of proprietary educational content, according to Inverness Graham.
Axcel’s platform combines self-paced coursework, live virtual instruction, and personalized learning tools designed to help users prepare for certification exams.
Inverness Graham said the acquisition builds on its prior investments in technology-enabled services and software companies, including Concord Servicing, Syntrio, Swipeclock, and Kalkomey.
“Axcel represents an exceptional platform investment in the rapidly growing professional education sector,” said Michael Morrissey, managing partner at Inverness Graham.
The firm said it plans to support Axcel’s growth through both organic expansion and additional acquisitions, particularly in sectors such as architecture, engineering and construction, and healthcare.
McDermott Will & Schulte served as legal counsel to Inverness Graham, and Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor to Axcel.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
