Innovative Aerosystems Acquires Moog S-TEC Model 3100 Autopilot Line

EXTON, PA — Innovative Aerosystems (Nasdaq: ISSC) has completed its acquisition of the S-TEC Model 3100 general aviation autopilot product line from Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A), the company announced.

The acquisition adds the fixed-wing autopilot system to Innovative Aerosystems’ portfolio of avionics and flight control systems used in commercial, business and military aircraft.

The S-TEC Model 3100 autopilot is designed for general aviation aircraft and is used to automate flight control functions.

Innovative Aerosystems said the acquisition expands its integrated flight control capabilities and allows the company to combine the autopilot technology with its existing avionics products.

“This acquisition represents another important step in our strategy to deliver fully integrated avionics and flight control solutions to the global aerospace market,” said Shahram Askarpour, chief executive officer of Innovative Aerosystems.

The company said it plans to continue supporting current operators of the autopilot system while pursuing upgrades, certification expansion and integration with its other avionics systems.

Innovative Aerosystems develops avionics, flight control systems and other aerospace technologies. Its products include flight decks, autothrottle systems, mission computers and cockpit display systems.
