MALVERN, PA — HMP Global, the healthcare education and events company, has acquired Music City SCALE, one of the most prominent multispecialty meetings in aesthetic medicine and skin health. The deal marks the company’s second major skin-health acquisition this year and positions it to expand rapidly into a market projected to surpass $200 billion globally by 2030.
SCALE — known for its focus on dermatology, plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and oculofacial surgery — draws nearly 2,000 clinicians annually and is recognized for evidence-based programming, hands-on procedural training, and high-profile faculty. For more than two decades, the Nashville-based meeting has served as a leading forum for advances in aesthetic treatments, clinical dermatology, and regenerative medicine.
The acquisition comes on the heels of HMP Global’s April purchase of Masterclasses in Dermatology, further solidifying the company’s strategy to build a full-spectrum education portfolio spanning medical, surgical, and aesthetic disciplines.
Jeff Hennessy, Sr., chairman and CEO of HMP Global, said SCALE’s reputation and multidisciplinary approach align with the company’s mission to deliver practical, innovative education at scale. He noted that co-founders Dr. Brian S. Biesman and Dr. Michael H. Gold will continue leading the meeting’s scientific direction and faculty engagement as it integrates into HMP Global’s platform.
Biesman said joining HMP Global gives SCALE the resources to expand its reach and strengthen industry participation while maintaining its focus on applicable, practice-driven learning. Gold added that the partnership will help enhance programming and preserve the meeting’s collaborative culture, which has been central to its identity.
SCALE now becomes part of a broader HMP Global ecosystem that includes The Dermatologist, Masterclasses in Dermatology, and the expanding MCD APP Institute. The company has been growing its dermatology and aesthetics footprint through live, digital, and hybrid educational offerings, reflecting rising clinician demand for specialized training amid rapid advances in aesthetic and regenerative procedures.
HMP Global said the acquisition reinforces its intention to become the most comprehensive provider of skin-health education, combining established clinical programming with a strategic push into the fast-growing aesthetics market.
