HMP Global Acquires Psychiatry Redefined to Advance Whole-Patient Mental Health Care

HMP Global

MALVERN, PAHMP Global announced it has acquired Psychiatry Redefined, an educational platform focused on functional, nutritional, and integrative approaches to mental health care. The move expands HMP Global’s psychiatry and behavioral health portfolio and supports its strategy to equip clinicians with evidence-based tools that go beyond symptom management.

Founded by psychiatrist James Greenblatt, MD, Psychiatry Redefined provides fellowships, courses, and community resources designed to help clinicians identify root causes of mental health conditions, interpret lab and genetic data, and develop personalized treatment protocols.

“This acquisition isn’t incremental—it’s a turning point,” said Jeff Hennessy, Chairman and CEO of HMP Global. “We’re bringing the strengths of traditional medicine together with functional and nutritional psychiatry to make whole-patient care the norm. With our reach and platform, we’ll put this training in clinicians’ hands at scale, transforming care and outcomes for patients everywhere.”

Greenblatt, who will continue to serve as Chief Medical Officer of Psychiatry Redefined, said the partnership creates an opportunity to expand the reach of his work. “By joining HMP Global, we can train more clinicians with science-backed tools and education that clinicians are not obtaining during medical training—to transform more lives,” he said.

The acquisition strengthens HMP Global’s psychiatry and behavioral health offerings, which already include Psych Congress, the Neuroscience Education Institute, and events such as the Evolution of Psychotherapy and the Rx Summit.

“The addition of Psychiatry Redefined allows us to focus more deeply on education that reflects the complexity of human health,” said Randy Robbin, President of HMP Education. “Together, we will apply this transformative education across our portfolio, so more clinicians can deliver individualized care and ultimately, better outcomes.”
