WAYNE, PAEmperion has announced plans to acquire PeerLink, a Birmingham, Alabama-based independent peer review services company. The acquisition is set to bolster Emperion’s capabilities in the workers’ compensation, auto, disability, and healthcare markets, further enhancing its suite of peer review offerings.

The integration of PeerLink’s technology and services is expected to strengthen Emperion’s ability to deliver more comprehensive, scalable solutions to its clients.

“This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Emperion as we execute on our growth strategy,” said Peter Madeja, CEO of Emperion. “The addition of PeerLink enhances our well-established clinical review capabilities and brings valuable talent, technology, and expertise to our team.”

PeerLink will continue operating as a separate business unit, with its current leadership team remaining in place to ensure stability and continuity for customers and employees.

“We are excited to join forces with Emperion,” said Robert Gold, M.D., CEO of PeerLink. “Given our history working together, we are confident that PeerLink and Emperion can offer even greater value to our customers and providers while pursuing new opportunities for innovation and expansion.”

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks. Bailey & Company is serving as PeerLink’s exclusive strategic and financial advisor on the deal.

This move exemplifies Emperion’s effort to expand its clinical review services and invest in technologies that improve provider connectivity and operational efficiency across the healthcare ecosystem.
