WAYNE, PA — Ecovyst Inc. (NYSE: ECVT) has finalized the acquisition of sulfuric acid production assets in Waggaman, Louisiana, previously owned by Cornerstone Chemical Company. The deal, executed through Eco Services Operations Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ecovyst, is a strategic move aimed at enhancing the company’s supply chain capabilities and meeting the rising demand for sulfuric acid products and regeneration services.
The addition of the Waggaman facility bolsters Ecovyst’s production network, expanding its capacity to deliver virgin sulfuric acid and regeneration services. The acquisition positions Ecovyst to address anticipated growth in demand across various markets while improving flexibility and supply reliability for its customers.
