WEST CHESTER, PA — The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW) has announced the appointment of Diana Beeson as its new Associate Vice President of Membership. Beeson brings with her a strong background in customer engagement, membership development, and leadership, as well as a deep commitment to fostering community connections.
Beeson will work alongside branch leadership to develop and implement strategies aimed at driving membership growth, improving retention, and enhancing the member experience across YGBW’s network of nine branches and program centers. She will also oversee the organization’s Corporate Membership Program, which builds partnerships to expand access to the YMCA’s resources for all community members.
“Diana brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for service and community that aligns perfectly with our goals,” said Kim Cavallero, Senior Vice President of Member Experience and Acquisition. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to our community.”
A Career Rooted in the YMCA Mission
A longtime advocate for community well-being and engagement, Beeson most recently served as Senior Manager of Engagement and Policy Initiatives at TurnAround, Inc., where she led efforts in community outreach, prevention education, communications, and legislative advocacy. Before that, she devoted 18 years to the YMCA in Central Maryland, holding roles that focused on membership growth, program development, and operational leadership.
Beeson’s personal connection to the YMCA runs deep, having first experienced its impact as a student. “I love working for an organization that stands for all – and doesn’t shy away from it,” she shared. “I go to bed every night knowing that the work I do impacts the community – and there is nothing more valuable than that.”
As part of her vision for YGBW, Beeson aims to ensure that the YMCA’s programs and services are accessible to every Chester County resident. “My personal mission is to ensure everyone in Chester County knows that the Y exists and is aware of the variety of programs and services we provide,” she said. “I would like to look back and know that I made a difference in our community.”
