WEST GROVE, PA — Jenner’s Pond, a leading Simpson Continuing Care Retirement Community, has unveiled its newly renovated Pastor Jim and Betty Mundell Health Center, marking a major investment in the future of person-directed senior living. The transformation redefines what memory care and skilled nursing can look like—warm, empowering, and designed to feel like home.

“This renovation reflects our vision for what memory care and skilled nursing should be: empowering, connected, and truly person-directed, while honoring each individual’s preferences and rhythm of life,” said Brandon Logsdon, Executive Director of Jenner’s Pond.

The 88-acre Chester County campus, known for its scenic and walkable design, offers a full continuum of care—from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing and memory care. The reimagined Health Center was developed in partnership with Lenhardt Rogers Architecture and David Funk & Sons Construction, two well-known local firms recognized for their craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The renovation replaces traditional institutional layouts with four intimate households, each featuring its own kitchen, dining room, living room, activity space, and outdoor area. The design encourages autonomy, social connection, and comfort while delivering professional, high-quality care.

Among the new additions is a modern therapy gym providing physical, occupational, and speech therapies, including specialized LSVT BIG therapy for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. The model prioritizes dignity, movement, and personal choice, enabling residents to maintain independence within a supportive environment.

The expansion also includes an enhanced Memory Care community designed to meet the growing demand for dementia-friendly living. Each household incorporates familiar home-like features and access to a secure sensory garden, promoting engagement, relaxation, and connection with nature.

By combining advanced clinical services with thoughtful design, Jenner’s Pond continues to strengthen its reputation as a leader in compassionate, resident-centered senior care—demonstrating that innovation and empathy can coexist in the modern era of aging services.
