TREVOSE, PA — Comcast has announced the extension of its high-speed Internet network to 3,400 additional homes and businesses in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford Township, PA. This expansion provides new access to Xfinity’s Internet, mobile, entertainment, and security services, as well as Comcast Business offerings, marking a significant development for residents and businesses in the area.
Community leaders and businesses have welcomed the news enthusiastically. “The expansion of Comcast’s network, which will bring Xfinity and Comcast Business services to our community, can enhance the quality of life of our residents,” said Kathryn Cloyd, Oxford Borough Council President. “New competition and state-of-the-art technology will make Southern Chester County an even greater place to live, work and play.”
The initiative is part of Comcast’s ongoing investment in Southern Chester County. Additional projects include completed or ongoing construction in East Nottingham, West Nottingham, and several other nearby townships. Comcast is also partnering with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to connect unserved areas, ensuring wider access across the region.
“This announcement represents a continued commitment to investing in and expanding our network to ensure that more residents and businesses in Southern Chester County have the connectivity they need to succeed,” said Dan Bonelli, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Freedom Region. “Our fast and reliable network is built to meet the community’s needs today – and into the future.”
Local businesses, like Bellybusters Sub Shoppe in Oxford, are already seeing the benefits of the expansion. Bellybusters recently became a Comcast Business customer and will host Comcast representatives on May 10, offering residents an opportunity to meet with company staff, learn more about available services, and receive $10 gift cards for use at the shop.
David Sharman, an Oxford resident, shared his experience transitioning to Comcast services. “We made the switch to Xfinity, and it has exceeded our expectations. The sales representative and technician provided a great customer experience, and we are loving the speed and reliability we now have with our Xfinity Internet, TV and phone services,” Sharman said.
The move underscores Comcast’s focus on enhancing connectivity for both individuals and businesses in Southern Chester County, fostering economic growth and improving quality of life for the community.
