CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — Historic Yellow Springs has named two new members to its Board of Trustees, reinforcing its focus on community engagement and programmatic growth. Lauren Nolan and Bradford Davis, both deeply rooted in the regional arts community, bring diverse backgrounds in creative practice, education, and public service to the organization’s leadership.
Board President Matthew Brady emphasized the significance of their appointments, noting that voices with “creative and classroom success” are key to fulfilling the organization’s mission and expanding its reach.
Lauren Nolan, affiliated with Lisa Monk and Associates LLC, is an Arcadia University fine arts graduate and a dedicated instructor and volunteer at Yellow Springs. Her work has focused on fostering inclusive spaces for education and the arts, particularly through Yellow Springs’ ceramics programs and community events.
Bradford Davis, a multimedia artist and U.S. Army veteran, holds an MFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art & Architecture. A former Artillery Officer with deployments in Korea and Afghanistan, Davis now uses ceramics as a therapeutic medium to process his experiences with PTSD. In addition to teaching at Historic Yellow Springs, he leads Operation Mud, an outreach program for veterans, and serves as a Resident Artist at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia.
Executive Director Tim Compton praised both appointees, calling their firsthand studio and classroom experience vital to steering the organization’s future. “We are a stronger organization with their expertise and insights at the helm,” Compton said.
