WEST CHESTER, PA — Gawthrop Greenwood, PC has hired Rachel M. Sorokin as an associate in its West Chester office, where she will focus on legal services for homeowners’ and condominium associations, the firm announced.
Sorokin will advise on community association governance, compliance, formation, zoning and land use matters, working with boards and community leaders to address operational and legal issues.
She previously worked in municipal tort defense litigation, representing municipalities in personal injury and premises liability cases across Pennsylvania.
“Rachel is a relationship builder,” said Stephen R. McDonnell, chair of the firm’s management committee, noting her approach to risk management and governance.
Sorokin earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School, where she served as a staff editor for the Widener Law Review and was a member of the Transactional Law Honors Society and the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and religion from James Madison University and is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
Sorokin is a member of the Chester County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
