KENNETT SQUARE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services has added a healthcare provider to its Oxford Health Center, expanding appointment availability and extended hours for patients in southern Chester County, the organization announced.
Ayanna Sangster, CRNP, recently transferred from LCH’s Kennett Square Health Center to the Oxford location at 14 S. 3rd Street, increasing the number of providers at the site to three.
LCH officials said the move allows the Oxford office to expand appointment access and offer extended hours on Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The Oxford center now provides care through Sangster along with Amanda Birdwell, CRNP, and Boris Cordova-Canas, CNRP, MSM, APRN, FNP-C.
Sangster said the change will help meet growing healthcare needs in the area.
“Oxford is a special community with a wonderful mix of families, many with complex and evolving health needs,” Sangster said. “I’m proud to help expand access to medical care in Oxford and the surrounding communities.”
Joseph A. Greco, MD, chief medical officer at LCH, said the organization moved an experienced provider to Oxford after identifying the need for additional appointment availability.
“As soon as we recognized the need for more appointment availability in Oxford, we made it a priority to move an experienced provider into that location,” Greco said. “Our goal is to continually improve access to quality, fair care.”
Patients receiving care at the Kennett Square location will continue to be served by five providers, according to the organization.
LCH operates health centers in Kennett Square, Oxford and West Grove, providing primary care, acute care and behavioral health services to patients across southern Chester County.
The organization said it is accepting new patients at all three locations and offers bilingual services and telehealth appointments.
Appointments at the Oxford Health Center can be scheduled by calling 610-444-7550 or visiting https://lchcommunityhealth.org/health-center-oxford/.
