WEST CHESTER, PAA. Duie Pyle has announced the opening of two new less-than-truckload (LTL) service centers in Columbus and Toledo, Ohio. The expansion marks a significant strategic move by the company to bolster its overnight shipping capabilities and expand direct service between the Midwest and the Northeast.

With the addition of the two Ohio-based facilities, Pyle now offers next-day LTL coverage from Ohio to the Northeast. The move is expected to improve transit times, increase shipment visibility, and provide greater consistency in service—key factors for businesses aiming to optimize their supply chains.

“This expansion is about delivering more value to our customers,” said John Luciani, Chief Operating Officer of LTL Solutions at A. Duie Pyle. “By bringing our high-touch, dependable LTL service directly to Ohio, we’re not only strengthening our existing relationships—we’re making it easier for new customers to access the performance, trust and operational excellence that define the Pyle experience.”

The new Columbus facility, located at 1720 Joyce Avenue, sits on five acres and includes 52 LTL service doors. The Toledo site, located at 20820 Midstar Drive in Bowling Green, spans 24 acres and houses 80 service doors. Combined, the facilities are expected to generate substantial regional employment, with hiring plans that include 40 drivers, 20 dockworkers, three fleet technicians, two sales representatives, and four managerial positions at each location within the next year.

The expansion also reinforces Pyle’s position as a key player in the LTL freight market. With a legacy spanning more than 100 years, the company now operates 35 LTL service centers. The move into Ohio not only represents a strategic extension of Pyle’s core territory but also signals its broader ambitions to shape the future of regional freight transportation.

While the company has long maintained a dominant presence in the Northeast, this push into the Midwest offers new operational leverage—allowing Pyle to meet growing customer demand with faster and more reliable service across a wider footprint.

This latest development underscores Pyle’s ongoing investment in service excellence, infrastructure, and workforce expansion as the company adapts to evolving market demands and continues to scale its high-performance logistics network.
