WEST CHESTER, PA — The YMCA of Greater Brandywine announced the addition of two senior leaders this week, naming Dave McNamara as vice president of facilities and Valeria Tenreiro as executive director of the Oscar Lasko YMCA.

The nonprofit said McNamara will oversee facilities strategy and operations across its nine branches and program centers in Chester County.

McNamara most recently served as senior associate vice president of facilities management at West Chester University. He previously worked in higher education, nonprofit and construction roles.

Terri Edgar, chief branch operating officer, said McNamara joins the organization as it completes renovations at the Oscar Lasko branch and prepares to open a new outdoor pool at the Lionville Community YMCA this summer.

Tenreiro will lead the Oscar Lasko YMCA in West Chester.

The organization said she brings more than 17 years of experience within the YMCA system, including service at YMCAs in New York, New Jersey and California.

Tenreiro previously held leadership roles in health and wellness before moving into senior executive positions. She has partnered with YMCA of the USA and other national organizations on youth development, chronic disease prevention and mental health initiatives.
