WAYNE, PA & ORMOND BEACH, FL — Command Medical Products, a contract manufacturer serving the medical device and life sciences sectors, has appointed veteran operations executive Mike Fillion as its new chief executive officer, effective Nov. 10. He succeeds Jim Carnall, who is retiring after 16 years of guiding the company through significant operational growth and deepening customer partnerships.
Fillion brings more than three decades of experience leading complex global manufacturing operations. He most recently served as chief operating officer at Conformis, where he oversaw U.S. and India operations across three sites and managed a workforce of 250 employees. Before that, he was executive vice president of global operations at Tecomet, a private equity–backed medical device manufacturer with 17 facilities in five countries and roughly 2,000 employees.
Command’s board leadership said Fillion’s background makes him well suited to expand the company’s capabilities as demand for outsourced medical manufacturing continues to grow. “Mike’s proven leadership and deep understanding of global manufacturing make him the right leader to guide Command into its next stage of growth,” said Jim Fitzgerald, executive chairman of the board. He added that Fillion’s operational expertise will enhance the company’s ability to support customers and execute long-term strategic goals.
Carnall, who presided over Command’s evolution into a trusted manufacturing partner for OEMs in the medical device industry, leaves behind a strong operational foundation. The transition marks a significant moment for Command and its ownership group, Argosy Healthcare Partners, as the company looks to scale in an increasingly competitive contract manufacturing landscape.
Fillion’s appointment signals a continued emphasis on operational efficiency, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and global customer support — all critical areas as medical device companies seek partners capable of meeting stringent quality demands and accelerating production timelines.
