MALVERN, PA — Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions announced the promotion of Amy Aponte to Senior Vice President, elevating a longtime leader who has helped steer some of the nation’s most ambitious student housing partnerships.
Aponte, who has been with Balfour Beatty for more than a decade, has played a central role in expanding the company’s Campus Solutions program and deepening relationships with universities across the country. In her new position, she will oversee strategic initiatives, partner engagement and program development efforts designed to align student housing projects with institutional growth plans.

Aponte has guided multiple large-scale public-private partnership efforts aimed at modernizing and expanding campus housing. Among her most notable projects:
At the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she led a P3 partnership for an 1,800-student residential village that reshaped the campus housing experience for first- and second-year students. The project earned the 2022 Student Housing Business Innovator Award for Best New Development by a College, University or Institution.
At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she directed a major P3 housing initiative incorporating undergraduate, graduate and family housing to support long-term campus modernization and enrollment growth.
At Wentworth Institute of Technology, she is leading development of a 1,000-bed residential community designed to house the entire first-year class together and strengthen campus connectivity and student life.
Company officials said Aponte’s promotion reflects her influence in shaping residential strategies that extend beyond bricks and mortar, focusing on student experience and institutional alignment.
Aponte has presented at numerous industry events and has been featured in publications for her expertise in residential planning and campus community development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of William & Mary and a Master of Education.
