Jim Hammond Named CFO at Chester County Economic Development Council

EXTON, PA — The Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) has announced the promotion of Jim Hammond from Vice President of Finance to Chief Financial Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at the organization.

Hammond, who joined CCEDC in 2006, has been instrumental in overseeing the financial operations of the council and its affiliated entities for nearly two decades. His responsibilities have spanned complex budget management and financial strategy for organizations including the Chester County Economic Development Foundation, Seedcopa, Chester County Industrial Development Authority (IDA), and Central & Western IDA.

“We are thrilled to announce Jim’s promotion to CFO,” said Mike Grigalonis, President and COO of CCEDC. “Jim has been an invaluable part of our team for nearly 20 years and a steadying force throughout our growth. We will lean on his knowledge of our complicated budget and finance structure even more moving forward as we continue to develop more innovative programs and services.”

In addition to his extensive professional experience, Hammond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Albright College and previously served in finance leadership at a New Jersey-based insurance company.

Outside of his financial expertise, Hammond is committed to community service, actively supporting the Alzheimer’s Association through annual participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, where he helps raise funds and awareness to advance research and support families affected by the disease.

Hammond’s promotion spotlights CCEDC’s continued focus on strategic growth and financial stewardship as it expands its mission to support economic development throughout Chester County and the region.
