HUSK Names Insider Erin Markowski CEO as Founder Shifts to Chairman

Husk

WAYNE, PA — HUSK is handing the reins to a longtime insider, announcing that Erin Markowski will succeed Tony Frick as chief executive officer as the workplace wellness firm enters its next phase of growth.

Frick, who has led HUSK since 2017, will continue as chairman of the board, providing continuity following years of rapid expansion and a recent ownership transition.

HUSK delivers comprehensive wellness solutions to employers and insurers nationwide, including tele-nutrition, tele-mental health, wellness rewards and challenges, and fitness services. Under Frick’s leadership, the company posted consistent revenue growth of more than 20% year over year while quadrupling its workforce. In 2024, Frick positioned the company for long-term growth by negotiating its sale to the Volaris Group, where HUSK now operates as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary.

Markowski brings more than a decade of institutional knowledge to the role. She joined HUSK in 2012 as a strategic account manager, rose to chief operating officer in 2019, and was named president and COO in January 2024.

“Erin has been a key catalyst to HUSK’s growth and success,” Frick said, crediting her with shaping strategy and overseeing day-to-day operations across the organization. He pointed to her industry expertise and relationships with clients and employees as critical assets as the company moves forward.

Markowski said the leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment for the wellness industry, as employers increasingly turn to technology-driven solutions to support workforce health.

“It’s an exciting time to step into this expanded role,” she said, adding that HUSK plans to accelerate innovation through new software-as-a-service offerings and artificial intelligence–driven solutions aimed at empowering consumers and improving population health.

Volaris executives voiced confidence in the move, calling Markowski the right leader for a period of industry change and internal expansion.

“Erin is the natural choice to lead HUSK during this transformative time,” said Robert Turner, portfolio leader at Volaris Group, citing her progression through the company and her vision for future growth.

With Markowski at the helm and Frick remaining as chairman, HUSK signaled a strategy focused on continuity, innovation, and scaling its wellness platform in an increasingly competitive market.
