DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Communities That Care of Greater Downingtown (CTC) has named Carmen Glenn as its new Executive Director, marking a significant leadership transition for the youth-focused nonprofit.
Glenn has been closely involved with the organization for nearly a decade, beginning as a volunteer in 2015 before formally joining the staff in 2019. Her longstanding commitment to CTC’s mission and her hands-on experience with its programming positioned her as a natural successor for the top leadership role.
“I am truly honored and excited to serve as Executive Director of Communities that Care,” Glenn said. “I’ve seen firsthand the tremendous difference CTC makes in the lives of our youth and families, and I am committed to building on this foundation to ensure our community continues to thrive. I look forward to collaborating with our partners and local stakeholders to drive positive change and create lasting impact.”
In her new role, Glenn will oversee CTC’s strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening family systems, promoting mental health, and preventing substance use among young people in the Downingtown area. Her leadership is expected to drive new partnerships, expand services, and increase the organization’s capacity to meet evolving community needs.
CTC operates as a collaborative network, bringing together schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, businesses, and faith-based organizations under a shared goal: to create a healthy and supportive environment for youth. The nonprofit employs evidence-based prevention strategies and a Collective Impact Approach to drive measurable outcomes in mental health and youth development.
With Glenn at the helm, CTC plans to deepen its engagement with families and local institutions while continuing to advocate for policy and programmatic changes that support long-term community well-being.
