Elton John Honored with QVC’s First-Ever Icon Award

QVC, Inc.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Legendary musician and humanitarian Elton John has been named the inaugural recipient of QVC’s Icon Award, recognizing his trailblazing contributions to retail innovation and his impact on the world of home fragrance.

The QVC Icon Award was established to honor individuals whose creativity, innovation, and commitment to excellence align with QVC’s values. Elton John, nominated by his business partner and friend Harry Slatkin of Slatkin + Co., was celebrated for his visionary collaboration that has elevated the customer experience and redefined the home fragrance market.

“Elton John’s unique ability to connect with our customers and bring his creative vision to life through our platform has resulted in the kind of success that is as remarkable as he is,” said Mara Sirhal, Chief Merchandising Officer of QVC and HSN.

The award follows Elton John’s resounding retail success with QVC, particularly his Today’s Special Value (TSV) offer, which generated tremendous engagement and sales. “Over 5 billion views, and we sold 350,000 candles, it was a tremendous day,” said Harry Slatkin of the impactful launch.

Expressing excitement for the recognition, Elton John remarked, “This is a fantastic honor. I usually receive awards for my music; so, this is genuinely a first for me. It was such a pleasure putting this collection together and creating such sensational scents for everyone to enjoy.”

Elton John’s second home fragrance collection with Slatkin + Co. is now available exclusively on QVC, further solidifying his influence in blending artistry and commerce in ways that resonate deeply with customers.
