TREVOSE, PA — Comcast has announced a significant expansion of its high-speed Internet network to 3,400 additional homes and businesses in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford Township, PA. This investment brings Comcast’s Xfinity and Comcast Business services to the area for the first time, offering enhanced connectivity and a wide array of digital solutions.
“The expansion of Comcast’s network, which will bring Xfinity and Comcast Business services to our community, can enhance the quality of life for our residents,” said Kathryn Cloyd, Oxford Borough Council President. “New competition and state-of-the-art technology will make Southern Chester County an even greater place to live, work and play. Access to reliable, high-speed Internet is a necessity for success today.”
The project complements ongoing efforts in nearby East Nottingham, West Nottingham, and other townships where Comcast is extending connectivity to underserved areas. As construction progresses, residents and businesses can look forward to gigabit Internet speeds, 99.9% network reliability, and built-in cybersecurity features.
“Comcast expanding their network to additional communities across Southern Chester County is an investment in our town, our people, our businesses, and our future,” said Cheryl Kuhn, President & CEO of the Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce.
Beyond connecting households, Comcast Business will provide scalable and secure technology solutions for local organizations, helping to foster economic growth. The network expansion is also supported by community initiatives like Comcast’s Internet Essentials, which offers low-cost Internet to eligible households.
“This announcement represents a continued commitment to investing in and expanding our network to ensure more residents and businesses in Southern Chester County have the connectivity they need to succeed,” said Dan Bonelli, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Freedom Region. “Our fast and reliable network is built to meet the community’s needs today – and into the future.”
Comcast representatives will host an event at Bellybusters Sub Shoppe in Oxford on May 10 to engage with residents and share more about the services. The sub shop itself is among the first new Comcast Business customers following the expansion.
Residents can anticipate a significant improvement in connectivity, supporting everything from remote work to education, streaming, and advanced business operations. This expansion helps bridge digital gaps while fostering a connected and digitally empowered community.
