EAST NOTTINGHAM TWP, PA — Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) has expanded its broadband network to more than 5,200 homes and businesses in East Nottingham Township and Oxford Borough, completing construction in East Nottingham and nearing completion in Oxford, the company announced.
The expansion brings access to multi-gigabit internet and related services to areas of Southern Chester County that previously lacked full connectivity, part of a broader regional investment effort.
Additional projects are underway in Lower Oxford Township and West Nottingham, while Comcast is partnering with the Commonwealth to expand service in Highland, Penn, Upper Oxford, West Fallowfield, and West Sadsbury townships.
Residents can check availability and enroll in services through Xfinity’s website, while in-person support is available at an Xfinity retail location in the Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware.
Comcast said the expanded network supports residential services including internet, mobile, television, voice, and home security, as well as business offerings such as internet connectivity, cloud services, and communications tools.
“For businesses on the move, Comcast Business Mobile offers fast, dependable 5G,” the company said, describing mobile and connectivity options for commercial customers.
The company also cited its Internet Essentials program, which provides low-cost internet access and devices to eligible households, along with local investments in digital skills training, community connectivity initiatives, and WiFi-enabled “Lift Zones.”
“By bridging critical gaps in broadband connectivity, this infrastructure investment transforms Southern Chester County,” said Cheryl Kuhn, president and CEO of the Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce.
Comcast, a media and technology company, provides broadband, wireless, and video services through its Xfinity and Comcast Business brands.
