MIQUON, PA — Chester County resident and business leader Fari Azad has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), joining a slate of new members bringing strategic expertise to the nonprofit’s mission.

Azad is the Founder and Managing Partner of Aria Management Consulting, where she specializes in aligning people, processes, and technology to drive business transformation. Her appointment marks a return to GSEP, where she previously served as Interim Chief Information Officer in 2022. Azad’s continued involvement underscores a long-standing commitment to the organization’s growth and modernization efforts.

“GSEP is honored to welcome these outstanding leaders to our Board of Directors,” said Kim E. Azad’s background in organizational transformation is expected to support GSEP’s broader strategy to modernize operations and expand its reach across the nine counties it serves.

She is joined on the board by three other new members:

  • Lisa Detwiler, Managing Director at FS Investments and General Counsel at FS Investment Solutions, LLC, brings strong legal and regulatory experience within financial services. A familiar face at GSEP, Detwiler has co-chaired the Take the Lead Greater Philadelphia event for the past two years.
  • Aldustus (A.J.) Jordan, Head of Community Stewardship at Vanguard and President of the Vanguard Group Foundation, leads global philanthropic initiatives and employee engagement programs. His background in corporate giving is seen as key to forging sustainable partnerships for GSEP.
  • Stephanie Sherry, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Olympus Corporation of the Americas, is a Girl Scout alum and past Take the Lead Honoree. Her experience in strategic messaging and marketing will support the organization’s branding and outreach initiatives.
