BERWYN, PA — AscellaHealth, a global healthcare solutions company, is set to participate in the Self-Insurance Institute of America’s (SIIA) High-Cost Drug Stakeholder Forum. The event, scheduled for May 28–29 in Minneapolis, MN, brings together industry leaders to address the pressing challenges of high-cost medications and explore sustainable solutions.

AscellaHealth executives Bob Gilkin, RPh, MBA, chief commercial and growth officer, and Sabine Enright, PharmD, vice president of integration, Payer Business Unit, will be featured in a key session titled “High-Cost Drug Site of Care (SOC) Strategies” on May 29 at 2:15 p.m. CT. Moderated by Mary Ann Carlisle, chief revenue officer and COO of ELMCRx Solutions, the session will examine a range of SOC strategies aimed at reducing costs while maintaining patient care standards.

“AscellaHealth is proud to support the event’s mission of equipping payer stakeholders with actionable cost-containment strategies,” said Gilkin. “With a rising demand for specialty drugs and infusible therapies—driven by an aging population and increasing chronic conditions—plan sponsors face mounting pressure to balance affordability with accessibility.”

The session will explore critical topics, including trends in specialty drug market growth, cost comparisons between care delivery models such as infusion centers and home-based infusions, and practical strategies for employers, brokers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) tackling complex healthcare challenges.

AscellaHealth is expected to highlight the significant cost benefits of shifting infusion care from traditional hospital settings to alternative care environments, such as ambulatory infusion centers (AICs) or home settings. “Our presentation will showcase how these strategies can drive substantial savings while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes,” added Gilkin.

The High-Cost Drug Stakeholder Forum offers a platform to identify innovative solutions to balance cost and accessibility for specialty medications, a challenge increasingly relevant as healthcare demands evolve.
