KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Collaborative will present the 13th Annual Kennett Square Holiday Light Parade on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM, coinciding with the opening weekend of Longwood Gardens’ “A Longwood Christmas” display.
The parade, which drew more than 13,000 attendees last year, will once again transform Kennett Square into a holiday destination featuring floats wrapped in Christmas lights, live music, dancers, classic cars, tractors, fire engines, and community groups. The event begins with a performance by Longwood Performing Arts and will include both English- and Spanish-speaking announcers.
“There’s a certain magic that comes over Kennett Square during the holidays,” said Daniel Embree, Executive Director of Kennett Collaborative. “From the Holiday Light Parade at the start of the season, all the way until the mushroom drops at Midnight in the Square, New Years Eve, there’s something enchanting about our town. We invite everyone to visit Kennett Square and discover the hidden gems and holiday treasures waiting for you here.”
Spectators can view the parade along State Street between Broad Street and Mill Road, following the same expanded route as last year. The evening concludes with Santa lighting the town tree, accompanied by a theatrical snowfall.
Businesses, community groups, schools, and organizations are invited to participate in the parade. Registration is available at holidaylightparade.org.
Kennett Collaborative’s holiday programming is sponsored by Longwood Gardens, Chatham Financial, Square Pear Fine Arts Gallery, Brandywine Longwood by Monarch Communities, Air Control Heating & Cooling, JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, Landhope Farms, Rouse Chamberlin Homes, Pollock Music Lessons, Duvall Bus Service, and Clean Slate Goods.
Additional holiday events include the Holiday Window Tour from November 21 through December 31, Small Business Saturday on November 29, the Holiday Village Market on December 6, 7, 13 and 14, Tinsel on the Town on December 18, and Midnight in the Square on December 31.
Kennett Collaborative, a nonprofit organization, organizes events, programs, and beautification initiatives that promote the borough as a destination to shop, dine, and play.
