KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Longwood Gardens will sparkle brighter than ever this holiday season as A Longwood Christmas returns November 21, 2025, through January 11, 2026. This year’s theme, centered on gemstones and holiday grandeur, transforms the historic gardens into a radiant celebration of color, craftsmanship, and nature’s brilliance. Timed tickets are now available at longwoodgardens.org.
Inside the conservatories, guests will be immersed in displays inspired by precious stones and metallic tones. Towering trees shimmer in sapphire blues, ruby reds, emerald greens, and gold, while crystal ornaments and gemstone lighting create an atmosphere of luminous opulence.
The Music Room centerpiece, A Gilded Gala, features a 12-foot Fraser fir rising from a jewel box, adorned with ornaments in rich jewel tones and surrounded by mirrors, gilded garlands, and decorative treasures. The Delaware Museum of Nature and Science has loaned ten mineral specimens to complement the display, blending natural artistry with holiday elegance.
Throughout the conservatories, thousands of poinsettias, paperwhites, and amaryllis form vibrant living displays. A 22-foot concolor fir decorated with geode-inspired ornaments and glowing echeveria crystals highlights the horticultural artistry Longwood is known for. In the historic Ballroom, eight gold-themed trees sparkle with handcrafted ornaments designed by regional art centers, celebrating community collaboration.
Outdoors, more than half a million lights illuminate the gardens. The popular Meadow Tunnel and Italian Water Garden return, featuring synchronized light shows set to holiday music. Oversized gem-like sculptures float on the Large Lake, while the beloved Wildlife Tree glows with oyster shell ornaments and edible accents for woodland visitors.
Holiday dining takes center stage at The Fountain Room’s Taste of Christmas experience, where guests can enjoy chef-prepared dishes, desserts, and seasonal beverages from December 21–24 and 26–30. The 1906 restaurant will offer prix fixe menus crafted around regional ingredients, with highlights including lobster, Green Circle chicken, and prime beef carpaccio.
Visitors can also explore the Garden Shop for handcrafted gifts, plants, and the new edition of Longwood Gardens Christmas by Longwood Fellow Colvin Randall. Memberships, which support the Gardens’ mission of conservation and education, are available for individuals and families seeking year-round access.
Timed admission tickets are required and priced at $45 for adults and $25 for youth ages 5–18. Members must reserve free timed entries, while Premium Members and Innovators receive open access. Dining tickets for Taste of Christmas are sold separately.
With its jewel-toned displays, handcrafted details, and immersive atmosphere, A Longwood Christmas continues its tradition as one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most enchanting holiday experiences.
