KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Brewfest, one of the region’s most anticipated annual events, will return for its 28th year on October 4, 2025, featuring more than 85 breweries, live music, food vendors, and—for the first time—a broadened selection of non-alcoholic offerings.
Founded in 1998, the Brewfest has grown into a hallmark community tradition, attracting thousands of craft beer enthusiasts and supporting local programs through ticket sales. “I never would have believed that the Kennett Brewfest would become such a big tradition in Kennett Square. But after 28 consecutive years, it really is true,” said founder Jeff Norman. “The loyalty of our patrons is unmatched. It has now spanned a generation”.
Craft Breweries and Beyond
This year’s lineup highlights both local and nationally acclaimed breweries. Chester County staples like Victory Brewing Company and Braeloch Brewing will be joined by regional favorites such as Cape May Brewing of New Jersey and Big Oyster Brewing of Delaware. The festival will also welcome Hill Farmstead Brewery of Vermont, frequently ranked among the best breweries worldwide.
Non-Alcoholic Options Expand Accessibility
Acknowledging growing interest in alcohol-free alternatives, the festival will include tastings from leading non-alcoholic brewers including Athletic Brewing, Guinness, and Sierra Nevada. A signature zero-proof mocktail created by Sundry Mornings will be available through sponsor Chatham Financial, and Sipp Happens Events will serve custom non-alcoholic drinks from a converted horse trailer. “We’re including more non-alcoholic options to welcome everyone to come and enjoy a great autumn day in Kennett together,” said Kris Gabbard, chair of Kennett Collaborative.
Food, Music, and Community
Attendees can expect a wide range of food vendors, from barbecue to lobster rolls and handmade dumplings, as well as retail booths offering crafts and festival merchandise. Live music will once again be headlined by guitarist Carl Filipiak and the Jimi Jazz Band, a long-time festival favorite known for blending jazz, funk, blues, and rock.
The Brewfest is scheduled for October 4 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at 600 S. Broad Street, Kennett Square. General admission tickets are $65, VIP “DefConn” passes are $100, and non-alcoholic tickets are $25. Proceeds support Kennett Collaborative’s community programming, including the town’s Memorial Day Parade, Holiday Lights Parade, and Holiday Village Market.
