Holiday Trains Take Flight at the American Helicopter Museum

WEST CHESTER, PA — The holiday season lifts off in spectacular fashion as the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center welcomes the return of its beloved Model Train Weekend, running from Friday, November 28 through Sunday, November 30, 2025. This annual celebration—bigger and better than ever—combines two timeless passions: aviation and model railroading, for a festive weekend of discovery and delight.

Guests will be treated to a dazzling array of intricate, large-scale model train displays set among the museum’s world-class collection of helicopters and rotary-wing aircraft. It’s a holiday tradition that delights visitors of all ages, bringing together history, imagination, and hands-on fun in one unforgettable experience.

The museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission includes access to both the train displays and the museum’s exhibits. Members enjoy free admission; however, library memberships and ACCESS cards are not valid during Model Train Weekend.

The American Helicopter Museum & Education Center, located at 1220 American Boulevard in West Chester, is the nation’s premier aviation museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the fascinating history of rotary flight.
