CHADDS FORD, PA — The Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art invites families and art lovers alike to celebrate the most enchanting time of the year with Holidays at Brandywine, running from November 15, 2025, through January 4, 2026. This beloved annual tradition transforms the museum into a winter wonderland of nostalgia, creativity, and community spirit—where art and holiday magic meet beneath the twinkling lights of the Brandywine Valley.
Guests will once again delight in the spectacular Brandywine Railroad display, with model trains zipping through intricately crafted miniature landscapes, alongside charming dollhouses and towering trees adorned with the museum’s signature handmade “Critter” ornaments. Each ornament—crafted entirely from natural materials—is a one-of-a-kind work of art, lovingly created by Brandywine’s devoted volunteers.
New This Year: “Home for the Holidays: Cards and Hearths from the Collection”
This season introduces a heartwarming new exhibition in the Strawbridge Family Gallery. Home for the Holidays explores the shared traditions that connect families and friends during the festive season—from the warmth of gathering around a hearth to the simple joy of exchanging holiday cards.
Among its treasures are two exquisite rooms from a nine-foot dollhouse designed by Ann Wyeth McCoy and built by her husband, artist John McCoy. Each miniature room features handcrafted furnishings and original paintings contributed by the Wyeth family, offering a rare glimpse into their intimate holiday world. The exhibition also debuts the Peters-Herdeg dollhouse—a stunning replica of an eighteenth-century Brandywine Valley home.
Visitors will also discover From Mailbox to Museum, a special collection of original holiday card designs created by members of the Wyeth family and other renowned American illustrators, drawn from the Brandywine Museum of Art and the Wyeth Foundation for American Art collections.
