CHESTER SPRINGS, PASALT Performing Arts is set to stage the Tony Award-winning musical Into the Woods this October, bringing Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s timeless fairytale to life at its Chester Springs theater.

The production weaves together iconic storybook characters in a narrative exploring wishes, family, and the consequences of choices. Known for its layered themes and memorable score, Into the Woods continues to resonate with audiences decades after its debut.

Into the Woods explores so many intertwined themes. Most prominently, the consequences of wishes and actions, the complexities of family relationships, and the nature of good and evil,” said Lauren McComas, President and Artistic Director of SALT Performing Arts. “Like the characters in the show, we all struggle with choices that lead to unintended consequences. At SALT we embrace the mantra ‘feed your good wolf,’ reminding us that life rarely offers easy answers.”
