MEDIA, PA — Fresh perspectives, bold ideas, and the next wave of creative voices from around the Philadelphia region are taking center stage this spring at Delaware County Community College.
The Art Gallery at DCCC will present the annual 215|610 Contemporary Juried Exhibition of Regional Emerging Artists now through April 3, 2026, spotlighting artists who live and work throughout the greater Philadelphia area. Free and open to the public, the exhibition transforms the Marple Campus gallery into a dynamic showcase of painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, video, drawing, mixed media, and more.
Each year, the exhibition highlights the depth and diversity of talent emerging from the 215 and 610 area codes — and this year’s show continues that tradition under the eye of Philadelphia artist Jane Irish, who served as juror.
Irish brings a distinguished résumé to the role. She has exhibited at venues including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Walker Art Center in Minnesota, the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. Her work is also held in major public collections, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
As part of the exhibition programming, Irish will present a special Juror’s Talk on Thursday, March 19 at 4 p.m. in the College’s Academic Building Large Auditorium. She will discuss her personal artistic practice and insights into the selection process. A reception in the Art Gallery will follow, offering visitors a chance to connect with the artwork and fellow art enthusiasts. The talk and reception are free and will also stream via Zoom.
Sponsored by the College’s Communication, Arts & Humanities Division, the Art Gallery at DCCC hosts up to six exhibitions each year, highlighting both student artists and professionals of national and international reputation.
