PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Preschoolers at Primrose School of Oaks marked National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day earlier this month with a heartfelt visit to the Upper Providence Township Police Department, delivering handwritten thank-you cards and learning about safety from local officers.
The visit coincided with National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, observed annually on January 9, and featured three- and four-year-old students greeting officers, exploring patrol vehicles, and receiving age-appropriate safety guidance.
School officials said the visit was part of the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, which emphasizes character development, citizenship, and real-world learning experiences. The program encourages students to engage with community helpers to better understand roles that extend beyond the classroom.
During the visit, officers introduced the children to basic police equipment and shared simple safety tips, creating an interactive and welcoming environment aimed at building trust and familiarity at an early age.
Primrose School of Oaks, located at 711 Hollow Road in Phoenixville, serves children from infancy through pre-kindergarten, as well as before- and after-school programs and a Summer Adventure Club.
Police officials said the visit offered a meaningful reminder of the positive impact of community engagement, with the children’s gestures serving as a small but powerful expression of appreciation for local law enforcement.
