Rithu George Joins Great Valley to Revolutionize HR and Empower Staff

MALVERN, PA — The Great Valley School District has announced the appointment of Rithu George as its inaugural Supervisor of Human Resources. Her selection, approved by the Board of School Directors on May 19, represents a significant step in the district’s efforts to enhance support for its staff and refine its administrative operations.

George offers a wealth of experience in human resources, including leadership in talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance. Most recently, she served as Deputy Director of Human Resources for the County of Lancaster, where her responsibilities encompassed training programs, policy development, and strategic employee support initiatives.

“We are very excited to welcome Rithu George and add this new position to our administrative team,” said Dr. Daniel F. Goffredo, Superintendent of Great Valley School District. “Her wealth of experience in public sector human resources and her proven track record in talent acquisition and development will be tremendously beneficial as we continue to strengthen our workforce and support our staff.”

The newly created role will position George at the center of critical responsibilities, including overseeing recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and implementing professional development initiatives for district staff.

George’s credentials include an MBA with a specialization in Human Resources and certification as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). Her professional background spans roles with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Norristown Area School District, and other educational institutions.

“I am deeply passionate about the field of human resources and thrilled to step into this new role,” said George. “With a strong background in education and a longstanding connection to the Great Valley community over the past 13 years, I am particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the district’s mission while supporting staff along the way.”
