DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Tanner McKee recently visited the Downingtown Area School District (DASD), bringing a powerful message of character, community, and perseverance to elementary students. McKee’s visit, hosted by the DASD Office of Student Relations and School Climate, aligned with the district’s commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork among students.
McKee made stops at Springton Manor and East Ward Elementary Schools, where he was greeted by excited students and staff proudly wearing Eagles green. Addressing the young crowd, McKee emphasized the value of respect, hard work, and kindness both on and off the football field.
“I’m honored to spend time with the students of Downingtown,” McKee said. “Growing up, I learned that being a great teammate off the field—by showing kindness, working hard, and respecting others—is just as important as anything you do on the field. If I can help even one student believe in themselves a little more today, then this visit was a win.”
