MALVERN, PA — The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation has opened applications for its 2026/2027 academic scholarship program, offering financial support to residents pursuing higher education and trade school training.
The annual initiative is designed to assist students living in Balfour Beatty Communities-owned or managed military housing, student housing, and multifamily communities as they prepare for college or vocational study.
“Education is a powerful tool for transformation, and by supporting these scholars, we’re helping shape leaders who will positively impact their communities for years to come,” said Sean Kent, President of the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation.
To qualify, applicants must reside in a Balfour Beatty Communities-owned or managed property, maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average, demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities, and plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school during the 2026/2027 academic year.
Students must also submit an original essay detailing their educational goals, aspirations, and how the scholarship will support their academic journey.
Since its founding in 2007, the Foundation has awarded more than 700 scholarships totaling over $1.9 million to students living within its communities.
Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by March 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Additional details and application information are available at www.bbcommunitiesfoundation.org/scholarships.
The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation operates as a Pennsylvania-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting residents across its housing portfolio through educational opportunity and community investment.
