MEDIA, PA — Malvern resident Needah-e-Fatema Hafeezali Gangji, a recent graduate of Delaware County Community College, has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the Dunkin’ Philadelphia Regional program, an honor reserved for just 20 students out of more than 1,600 applicants this year.
The scholarship program, backed by Dunkin’ and its Greater Philadelphia franchise owners, annually distributes $100,000 to high-achieving students pursuing higher education. Recipients are recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and a strong record of community involvement.
Originally from Tanzania, Gangji completed her associate degree in Business Administration while making an impact across campus life. She held leadership roles in multiple organizations, including serving as president of the Business Society, vice president of social media for Phi Theta Kappa’s Alpha Tau Epsilon chapter, and a leader in both the Muslim Students Association and Social Work Club. She also helped launch DCCC’s Debate Club.
Her efforts earned her the college’s 2024–2025 Outstanding Student Achievement Award, which honors academic distinction, service, and leadership contributions to the institution and the community.
With aspirations in marketing, communications, and digital media, Gangji plans to continue her studies toward a bachelor’s degree, adding a minor in digital marketing. Reflecting on her time at DCCC, she said, “Being a student at DCCC has made me a better person. It is more than a college; it is the place that gave me the opportunity to follow my flame.”
