WEST CHESTER, PA — AccessLex Institute® has introduced the MAX Pre-Law by AccessLex® Scholarship Program, offering four aspiring law students $15,000 each year to help cover tuition and expenses. The initiative is part of the nonprofit’s broader mission to ease the financial burden of legal education and support the next generation of attorneys.
Rising tuition costs and the weight of student debt are among the biggest challenges for those pursuing a law degree. The MAX Pre-Law program, a free online resource, equips students with tools to make informed financial choices as they prepare for law school. Participants who complete modules and attend webinars are automatically entered into the annual scholarship drawing, held each May.
“We are thrilled to announce the MAX Pre-Law scholarship program,” said Jennifer Schott, vice president of AccessLex Institute’s Center for Education and Financial Capability®. “MAX Pre-Law is an invaluable resource for aspiring law students and serves as a fantastic introduction to all that AccessLex Institute offers to them throughout their law school journey.”
The program is part of Ask EDNA!® – The Education Network at AccessLex, which provides free resources across every stage of legal education. Students gain access to tools such as a student loan calculator to better understand borrowing and repayment, and the Law School Scholarship Databank, which compiles over 800 scholarships and writing competitions worth more than \$3 million.
MAX Pre-Law joins the award-winning MAX by AccessLex® personal finance program, which has already distributed more than \$2.5 million in scholarships to law students. By combining financial education with direct aid, AccessLex aims to reduce barriers to entry and ensure that more students can pursue their legal ambitions without being sidelined by cost.
